Jo Simonds

Hi, I’m Jo.

My journey started at the age of 16 where Youth for Christ led some youth group meetings challenging us about having a personal faith.  Although I didn’t become a Christian straight away it started my journey.

A few years later the staff at Youth for Christ really encouraged me in developing my evangelism and leadership skills.  I joined their outreach team in the city center and supported a group for unchurched young people to explore life, where they fitted into it, and is there a God.  The regular city wide young people’s events were also always a challenging and exciting place to take my church youth group to.

Now I find myself in the position of Chair of Trustees, where I am privileged to support the workers of Coventry youth for Christ, support the day to day running and discern where God wants to take us next.

It’s always great to encourage our workers and volunteers, watch them grow, and for God to lead them on new adventures across the city introducing young people to the love of God.
